One item that I cannot do without in my automobile is this 1200 Peak Amp Jump Start Power Station with 120 psi compressor, AC and USB outlet. It is an emergency car repair kit all packed into one. Whether it is jump starting your dead battery after leaving a dome light on, or pumping up your tire after a change in seasons pressure.
The primary usefulness of this power station comes from the jumper cables. Without a working car battery you cannot start a car. Well, not an automatic transmission anyway. It will not immediately jump start a battery, but it will eventually give it the energy needed to turn over.
Besides being able to start your car... you need inflated tires. From time to time the air pressure will decrease in your cars tires, so it is best to have a compressor with you. There should be a sticker on the drivers side door well of your car that will tell you what PSI you should attain.

Not the brightest light on the Black and Decker model that I own, but any light is useful in the dark. If anything this would be an upgraded feature I would like to see.
This one is a huge convenience for anyone with tech gadgets lying around. Everyone can always use a charge when it comes to their cell phone. Allows you to plug in your USB cable, but unfortunately not USB3. Another good upgrade!
This seems to be a bit tricker that I had imaged when writing this article. I think the particular model I have may have been discontinued. I have included a link to home depot to buy this item, and a similar one from amazon.
